Really beautiful cover! The composition is quite unusual but I like it a lot. It suggests the viewer is on lower ground and the people are about to get away from you; in a way it adds a certain sense of suspense and mystery. Beautiful lighting and use of colors as well.
My only objection is the typography. The typeface could be more interesting and a bit less neutral, and you really need to turn the kerning to 'optical' or kern it manually to get rid of the gap between W and A.
That is a very valid point! I’m the first to admit that my typography skills are not what they should be. If you have the time I’d love to know what kind of typeface you would have rather seen. Thank you for your input!
Well, that's always a difficult question to me. I would definitely go for a sans serif typeface but I'm not exactly sure which. I would have to try things out. All I do know is that I would go for something a bit less neutral; a bit warmer and more quirky. Gill Sans might be a good starting point, or any other grotesque with a bit of a quirk. Maybe Marat Sans, Bernini Sans, Tablet Gothic or Bulo.
Wow, those are all very attractive typefaces! I see what you mean by them being warmer, and I definitely agree that any one of them would be an improvement over the one I used. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.
